Stars, like other objects of nature, begin. change over time, and end. Big stars have short violent lives and small ones last billions of years. Trace the lives of stars from the dusty clouds of their beginning to their explosive end.
April 6, 13, 20, 27: Aurora
Natural light displays shimmer in the far north and polar south. The colors and pattern of moving light in our upper atmosphere are unforegettably beautiful nighttime illuminations. Enjoy the beauty and science of these wonderful events.
The Planetarium Gift Shop and Lobby are open on Tuesdays 10 am - 4 pm and before and after all planetarium shows.
In the lobby enjoy free interactive displays and activities in the Lobby including ViewSpace, continuous programming from the Space Telescope Science Institute.
In the Gift Shop find fun and educational gifts for the astronomer, the naturalist, the curious child and budding scientist in your life at the Gift Shop. Planetarium members always receive a 10% discount on all purchases.
