Brazosport Planetarium Scholastic Bowl 2010
A fundraising event for the Brazosport Planetarium and
The Center for the Arts and Sciences

  1. The Scholastic Bowl 2010 will be held at 7:00 p.m., Feb. 27, 2010 at The Brazosport Center for the Arts and Sciences. Competing teams should be at The Center by 6:45 p.m. for instructions.
  2. Teams will consist of one to four people. Entry fee per team is $100.
  3. The competition will consist of questions covering a wide variety of topics. All teams compete together and each team will write their answer on an answer sheet during the competition.
  4. Questions will be worded so there is a precise answer.
  5. The questions will be presented in three rounds. After each round, the answer sheets will be collected and scored for the most correct answers. After the third round, the teams with the total highest scores will be awarded trophies for first, second and third places.
  6. There will be a high school division and adult division competing concurrently. The high school division is restricted to students currently enrolled in high school. The adult division is for all adult participants.
  7. Team sponsorships are encouraged. Sponsorships for high school teams will be arranged if the team lacks sufficient funds.
  8. Teams may submit entry forms to The Center business office, or enroll by calling 979-798-1966. All fees are to be turned in to The Center business office. Checks are to be made payable to Brazosport Planetarium. Teams must be entered by 5 p.m. February 23.
